Mom and Dad visit Grandma Vilda in St. George

It was Grandma Vilda's birthday in September. We went down for a long weekend visit and had a wonderful time.

On the drive down to we stopped at the cabin to close it for the winter. Thank you Katie for doing such a great job cleaning after you used the cabin last. It looks great. It was so beautiful up on the mountain I really just wanted to stay. Can I stand to wait all the way until next summer?

We took Grandma Vilda and went to the temple. We had a wonderful time attending a session together. The rest of the time we just visited and shopped and ate. Dad did some golfing. We helped Grandma with her food storage. She is such an example to us as she is storing food like the prophet asks. We ended a wonderful visit by attending church together.

Chantelle's and Allan James' Birthday Celebrations

The family celebrated Chantelle's birthday on September 14, that Sunday evening with potatoe soup in bread bowls and grilled shish kabobs. It was a beautiful day that we shared as a family and friends with Chantelle. She chose to have pie instead of cake and ice cream.

The very next Sunday evening we celebrated Allan James' birthday with chicken enchilada and some cake and ice cream. We tried out a new game and had another good time together.

Grandma and Grandpa Joos' Birthday Celebration

We had a family birthday party at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living on September 6. Grandma and Grandpa and the extended family came for pizza, games, cake and ice cream. Thanks to Bekkie and Stacy for some wonderful pizza and their husbands for stepping in and running for what ever was needed at the last minute. Thanks to Darlene and her family for the cake and Doreen and her family for the ice cream. Thanks to all who came and made it a nice evening for Grandma and Grandpa.

Trevor's Baptism - August 30

Saturday we met at the church for Trevor's baptism at 4:30pm. It was a quiet, sacred time and Trevor was beaming. He was all dressed in white. He looked so handsome and happy. We listened to some good talks about baptism and the Holy Ghost by Bishop Lambert and his counselor Brother Marsh. James did the baptism. After Trevor was dressed in dry clothes his Grandpa Ronnow confirmed him a member of the church and gave him the Gift of the Holy Ghost to guide him throughout his life. Trevor's family looked so nice. I got such good pictures and I am sick about losing them. They are such a beautiful family and it was such a happy occasion. Congratulations, Trevor!

August 25 - Josh's Birthday

Sunday August 24, the whole family got together and celebrated Josh's birthday. We had such a wonderful time and I lost all my pictures because I deleted them off my camera after I thought I had them on my computer. If the pictures are on my computer I cannot find them. I am sad to lose those sweet pictures of Josh opening presents. I am sad to lose the pictures of all the grandchildren that fun day as we helped Josh celebrate his birthday with Mexican dinner, birthday cake and ice cream, and opening gifts.

We went to the zoo on Monday. We had a good time with Josh. Happy Birthday Josh!!

Day at Lagoon

The children had a day at Lagoon before school started on Saturday,August 23. I heard it was a wonderful time. Thank you, Bekkie and Joey, for taking Christina. She had a wonderful day.

Willard Bay

Christina, Trevor, Gavin and Grandma went camping at Willard Bay. We had the best time. We got site 22 and there wasn't anybody else around. The first thing, the children ran to the water and the water was rolling with catfish in the shallows. The boys knew not to catch them because catfish have barbs on them, but they chased them deeper into the bay. They hunted everything and Trevor, the snake hunter, got a snake right off. Gavin found many kinds of pretty dragonflies. Christina swam like a fish with the fish all day long. We put the tent up together. Gavin was a very good tent stake driver. We had the tent up in no time. The boys liked to change clothes in the tent even though there were nice bathrooms near our campsite. We stayed by the water until dusk when we headed for the campsite. We cooked our own hot dogs and had watermelon. We did s'mores for dessert. When it got dark we had a nice sleep in the tent. We had tons of food and room for all and we missed you all. Lets do this again next year the week before school starts on Thursday. Put it on your calendars and do it. It really is a wonderful, relaxing time for all!
